USA 2005 Outreach

Aug 15^th until December 5^th, 2005

On Aug 15^th, five Filipinos and my family of four returned to the USA for 4 months of travel and evangelistic activity. Here are some of the photos from State to State...

South Dakota: Aug 2005

We were encouranged when we came out of a grocery store one day in Aberdeen, SD to find this dollar bill stuck under our windshield wiper. A great way to start our 4 month outreach across the USA covering over 30+ States.

This is when the team learned to use firearms for the first time as they received a safety gun orientation in SD in August.

This is the 2005 Chevy van we have been using for our cross-country outreach. I expect to add about 20,000 miles to it before completing in Dec 2005. Thanks to the R.Johnson family and his church in Iowa for lending this to us!

We took this photo at the 1880 'Dances with Wolves' set in South Dakota near Mount Rushmore. Little bit of fun!

Missouri: Sept 2005

Many preachers gathered at Jed Smock's School of Evangelism during the first week of September. We preached for about five days at the Mizzou Campus. Nice crowd size each day.

Illinois: Sept 2005

One of our stops was at the Billy Graham Evagelistic Museum in Wheaton, IL. This scene made for a cool photo op.

This was also a neat picture of our daughter Victoria pretending to RAPTURE as if the Lord Jesus is returning!

Wisconsin: Mid-Sept 2005

I loved the way the crowds ebbed and flowed during our time preaching at the campus in Madison, Wis-CON-SIN! Jed, our YWAM Team were together here for three days.

This was a typical view of Jed answering questions to students towards the end of the preaching day in mid-Sept. Jed has preached for over 32 years on America's campuses.

St Cloud, MN: Oct 2005

We preached with Mike Leisner at at the University of St Cloud, in MN. The crowd was so unruly, it took about 7 security guards to keep them in order. The security even excorted us to our van after we were finished to make sure we had a clean, safe exit.

North Carolina: Oct 2005

Here we joined with about 40 other cities throughout NC protesting against abortion. Hundreds of cities across the USA did the same thing on the same day (Oct 2nd), and have done for many years traditionally.

This was one of my favorite days of preaching as we (Gary Birdsong, Pat O'Connell (and daughters), John Smalldridge, and the YWAM Filipino Team, preached at Michael Jordons college: Chapel Hill, NC last mid-October.

Las Vegas: Oct 27th, 2005

My family, along with Dayton Corbin, preached and passed out Ray Comfort's BIG 100 DOLLAR BILL Gospel tracts in front of the Bellagio Casino on Las Vegas Blvd. SO MANY GAMBLERS in this city!! Breaking the 10th Commandment you know...

It was hard for many by-passers to resist this BIG 100 DOLLAR BILL Gospel tract being handed to them by our youngest, Victoria (age 4+).
