Tsunami Photos 2005

I went to Thailand after the December 26th Tsunami for five days.  Here we are going into the freezers trying to match numbers of the dead bodies.

Getting ready to go into the freezers.

This is me trying to identify one of the dead tsunami victims.

I spend two days walking just about everywhere looking for dead bodies.  This was one of the cars we found thousands of yards from the shore line.

Every morning we were on the 'toilet cleanup' crew preparing the outdoor toilets for the many volunteer workers in the area each day.

These were just some of the passports, ID Cards, Credit cards, etc that we found as we went back and forth the tsunami area looking for bodies.  Amazing, we never found any money!  All money had been taken by looters by the time we arrived on the 14th day.

This was the YWAM House we helped clean up and prepare for all future teams that will be arriving through out 2005.

This was the level of the water that rushed through the homes.  This building was about 1000 yards from the shore line and the water was still this deep.

This is my last photo of the water line that rushed through the average house or business in the Kao Lak area of Southern Thailand last December 26th, 2005 during the Tsunami.  I was here during the second week of January 2005.
