We are running a Children In Need - School of Asian Restoration (CIN-SOAR) from January 9 to June 29, 2003.
It is a six-month program, three months of lecture phase and three months of outreach with a specific focus on Asia.
WHAT is it about?
It is a counselling school with a focus on ministering to poor and needy children and youth. It will equip children's workers to minister more effectively but the principles can be used in any setting.
In our lecture phase we will have topics like:
Developmental stages of a child, freedom from shame, dealing with abuse issues, counseling tools for children, calling forth identity and destiny in a child, healing the wounded spirit, Asian family values and systems, cross-cultural understanding, a heart for the poor, emotions/anger, vision to minister to this generation and others.
VISION and Objective of school:
It is our desire to see Asia's children be healed and rise up that they may be commissioned to the work of rebuilding their nation. Through the use of physical and spiritual assistance the objective of our school is to equip students to bring healing to the broken hearted, to give a deeper understanding of the poor and needy, the abused and the neglected and how we can minister effectively through counseling.
During lecture phase students will also have the opportunity to apply the teaching in being involved in our existing ministry to children and youth.
The Outreach will take place in different locations of the Philippines.
There may be an opportunity to minister in an other Asian Country as well.
COST:
FOREIGNERS: Lecture phase: USD$1,500.00, Book fee: USD$100.00
Outreach fee: USD$ 750.00 within the Philippines for 3 months.
FILIPINOS: Lecture phase: Peso 15,000.00, Book fee: Peso 2,500.00
Outreach fee: Peso 10.000.00
